Right now, waterfowl from across Canada and the northern U.S. are headed south. In order to rest and fill up on food, flocks of geese and ducks stop at Wisconsin’s potholes, puddles, lakes and wetlands.
Black River Country’s Dike 17 Wildlife Area attracts thousands of birds each fall. Late October and early November are some of the best times to see migrating waterfowl in the wildlife area’s mix of flowages and wetlands. Every day brings new species of ducks from the north.
Grab your binoculars and head out to the Dike 17 Wildlife Area today!
