The 16th Annual Karner Blue Butterfly Festival will take place July 21 in downtown Black River Falls. The festival celebrates the rare Karner blue butterfly that calls Black River Country home. The daylong event features a 5k, 10k and half marathon, followed by a pancake breakfast and a day of fun activities, including crafts, a food court and kids activities. The Karner Blue Butterfly Princess will be crowned at 11am. All that, plus tours of local museums and the Sand Creek Brewery, a parade, free horse-drawn wagon rides and live music. It’s a day filled with fun for all ages. Don’t miss it!
