Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, Black River Country is perfect for mountain biking!
The Black River State Forest alone has 24 miles of designated mountain biking trails taking you through beautifully wooded pine and oak forest with terrain to challenge every level of biker. Conveniently located trail heads at Castle Mound and Pigeon Creek campgrounds make it easy to hop on your bike and go for a ride anytime.
Wazee Park, just east of Black River Falls, also has an amazing nine-mile mountain biking trail which follows the old Jackson County iron mine sites. Along the way you’ll be treated to some breathtakingly beautiful views of the eastern part of the county.
Want to go off-road? The Black River State Forest and the Jackson County Forest have hundreds of miles of forest and old logging roads open to mountain bikers looking for a unique experience.
