DESCRIPTION:Get ready for one of the most exciting community fitness events of the year at Pace & Pedal 2026 in Black River Falls! Held at the beautiful Wazee Lake Recreation Area\, this high-energy event brings together runners\, walkers\, cyclists\, families\, and spectators for a full morning of activity and fun. \nThe day kicks off on Saturday\, May 16\, 2026\, with multiple events designed for all ages and fitness levels: \nEvent Schedule\n\n6:30–8:15 AM: Packet Pickup & Same-Day Registration\n8:00 AM: Pace & Pedal Duathlon\n8:30 AM: 5K Wazee Color Fun Run/Walk\n10:00 AM: Youth Color Run\n\nDuathlon (8:00 AM)\nChallenge yourself with a 4.7-mile trail run on non-paved terrain followed by a 10.5-mile bike ride on paved roads. Participants can compete individually or as a two-person team. Awards are given to top male\, female\, youth\, and team finishers. All participants receive a finisher medal and event swag.A helmet is required\, and earbuds are not allowed during the biking portion for safety. \n5K Color Fun Run/Walk (8:30 AM)\nEnjoy a fun\, family-friendly 3.1-mile paved course with colorful powder stations along the way. This self-paced event is perfect for all ages\, stroller-friendly\, and offers the option to bypass color stations. \n\n$10 (ages 13+)\nFREE for ages 12 & under\n\nYouth Color Run (10:00 AM)\nA 1-mile paved course designed just for kids 12 and under. Participants receive a finisher medal and fun giveaways while enjoying a colorful run experience. \nAdditional event details: \n\nT-shirts available for purchase during registration (deadline applies)\nRain or shine event (weather delays possible)\nSame-day registration available until 15 minutes before each race\n\nPace & Pedal is a major fundraiser for Jackson In Action\, a local coalition dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles and improving community wellness across Jackson County. \nWhether you’re racing\, walking\, volunteering\, or cheering\, this event is all about movement\, motivation\, and community spirit!
