Get ready for one of the most exciting community fitness events of the year at Pace & Pedal 2026 in Black River Falls! Held at the beautiful Wazee Lake Recreation Area, this high-energy event brings together runners, walkers, cyclists, families, and spectators for a full morning of activity and fun.
The day kicks off on Saturday, May 16, 2026, with multiple events designed for all ages and fitness levels:
Event Schedule
- 6:30–8:15 AM: Packet Pickup & Same-Day Registration
- 8:00 AM: Pace & Pedal Duathlon
- 8:30 AM: 5K Wazee Color Fun Run/Walk
- 10:00 AM: Youth Color Run
Duathlon (8:00 AM)
Challenge yourself with a 4.7-mile trail run on non-paved terrain followed by a 10.5-mile bike ride on paved roads. Participants can compete individually or as a two-person team. Awards are given to top male, female, youth, and team finishers. All participants receive a finisher medal and event swag.
A helmet is required, and earbuds are not allowed during the biking portion for safety.
5K Color Fun Run/Walk (8:30 AM)
Enjoy a fun, family-friendly 3.1-mile paved course with colorful powder stations along the way. This self-paced event is perfect for all ages, stroller-friendly, and offers the option to bypass color stations.
- $10 (ages 13+)
- FREE for ages 12 & under
Youth Color Run (10:00 AM)
A 1-mile paved course designed just for kids 12 and under. Participants receive a finisher medal and fun giveaways while enjoying a colorful run experience.

- T-shirts available for purchase during registration (deadline applies)
- Rain or shine event (weather delays possible)
- Same-day registration available until 15 minutes before each race
Pace & Pedal is a major fundraiser for Jackson In Action, a local coalition dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles and improving community wellness across Jackson County.
