Small Business Saturday

Shop Small. Support Local. Celebrate Our Community.

Since 2020, the Black River Area Chamber of Commerce has celebrated Small Business Saturday with a special community giveaway designed to encourage residents and visitors to shop locally during the holiday season.

Thanks to the generous support of area businesses and organizations, more than $29,000 in Chamber Bucks, local business gift cards, certificates, and other prizes have been distributed through the program since it began.

Why Shopping Small Matters

When you shop small, you’re doing more than making a purchase — you’re investing in the people, jobs, and businesses that make our community unique.

Local businesses support area families, create jobs, sponsor community events, contribute to local organizations, and help keep dollars circulating close to home. Every purchase made at a small business helps strengthen our local economy and supports the places that make the Black River area a great place to live, work, and visit.

Shopping small also helps preserve the character of our community. Our locally owned shops, restaurants, service providers, and other small businesses offer the personal service, unique products, and local connections that you simply can’t find everywhere else.

Small purchases make a big difference.

This Small Business Saturday — and throughout the year — we encourage you to explore local businesses, discover something new, and choose to support the businesses that support our community.
