Black River Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Effective Date: March 26, 2026

1. Program Description

By opting into SMS messaging from the Black River Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism (the “Program”) via verbal consent, web form, or other medium, you agree to receive recurring automated and manual text messages. These messages are designed to provide:

  • Event announcements and community reminders.

  • Promotions and special offers from Chamber member businesses.

  • Tourism updates and seasonal highlights.

  • Workshop, webinar, and networking event notifications.

2. Message Frequency

Messaging frequency may vary depending on your interaction with the Chamber and upcoming community events. On average, subscribers receive 4 messages per month.

3. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Your carrier’s standard messaging rates apply to your entry and all subsequent SMS correspondence. The Black River Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism does not charge a fee for this service; however, you are responsible for any fees charged by your mobile provider.

4. Opt-Out (STOP) Instructions

You may cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP” to our number. After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time or provide verbal consent.

6. Privacy & Data Sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

7. User Requirements & Consent

  • Web Opt-In: By providing your mobile number and checking the opt-in box, you confirm you are the authorized user of the number and consent to receive messages.

  • Verbal Opt-In: When you provide verbal consent via the disclosure script provided by our staff, you agree to these Terms of Service. You confirm that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided.
