Jackson County and AARP Foundation Tax-Aide are working together to bring free tax-filing assistance back to Jackson County residents in 2027, and volunteers are needed to help make it happen.
Community members are invited to attend this informational session to learn more about becoming an AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteer. An AARP representative will explain the different volunteer opportunities available, what training and support are provided, and how local volunteers can help residents during tax season.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides free tax-filing assistance to those who need it most, with volunteer roles available for a variety of skill levels. Volunteers receive training, support, and the opportunity to learn new skills while making a meaningful impact in the community. AARP notes that Tax-Aide is the nation’s largest volunteer-based free tax assistance and preparation service.
This session is open to anyone interested in learning more about helping bring this valuable service back to Jackson County.
