Friends Sharing Food

Friends Sharing Food (FSF) is a tax-exempt, volunteer organization that works to help reduce hunger in Jackson County families through 5 projects. Food for Kids places supplemental grocery bags in all Jackson County elementary schools at the end of each school week and during the summer months. FSF also stocks food shelves at some area high schools. Friends Food Shelf distributes perishable foods like produce, bakery, dairy and meat to anyone in need. The Friends Food Shelf is located at the Gebhardt School on HWY 27 and Gebhardt Road every Monday from 2:30 to 4 PM. Jackson County Food Pantry is the last Tuesday of the month from 4:30-6 pm. and the Neighborhood Food Pantry the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 9-10 am.
