Prepare for one night of outdoor Halloween scares when Trail of Terror in Black River Falls returns on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. CDT. The trail begins at the Black River Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Center, located at 120 N. Water Street in Black River Falls.

Hosted by the Black River Area Chamber of Commerce, the haunted trail features themed scare stations, twisted clowns, lurking creatures, props, characters, and haunted scenes created with help from local volunteers, businesses, organizations, and community partners. After completing the trail, participants receive a free wagon ride back to the Chamber.

Admission to Trail of Terror in Black River Falls is $5 per person. Tickets are sold on the day of the event, are nonrefundable, and may be purchased with cash or a card. All trail participants must be in line by 8:00 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for an additional cost, and portable toilets will be available.

A free, lower-scare Kid-Friendly Zone will also be open from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Halloween games and entertainment. Black River Falls Dance is scheduled to return for a family-friendly performance. An adult must remain present with children in the Kid-Friendly Zone.

All ages are welcome, but children age 15 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. The event page states that strollers, wheelchairs, mobility devices, and other accommodations are welcome. Pets are not permitted, although trained service animals are welcome. Guests should be aware that trail effects may include fog and flashing or strobe lights.

The event may be canceled because of weather, with cancellation announcements posted on the Black River Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. Review the guest rules, gather your group, and arrive before the 8:00 p.m. line deadline for Trail of Terror in Black River Falls.

Trail admission is $5 per person. The Kid-Friendly Zone has free admission. Food and beverages are available for an additional cost.
