Tractor Safety – Jackson County

Youth interested in tractor and farm machinery safety are invited to attend Tractor Safety – Jackson County at Black River Falls High School.

This program is for youth who are ages 12–16 and will operate tractors or farm machinery on public roads under parent or guardian supervision for family farm work; youth ages 14–15 working, paid or unpaid, on a farm other than their family farm; and youth ages 12 and older who are interested in learning tractor and machinery safety.

Program Details

Dates: June 22–24, Monday–Wednesday
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily
Location: Black River Falls High School – Agriculture Room
Entry Note: Enter through the greenhouse door.

Parent/Guardian Requirement

A parent or guardian must attend the first 20 minutes on June 22 to review program requirements and sign the liability waiver.

What to Bring

Participants should bring an emergency contact phone number, the $25 registration fee paid by cash or check payable to BRF FFA, lunch each day, and close-toed shoes. No sandals are allowed.

Financial assistance is available if needed. Please notify instructors of any special needs.
